My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Little Stella, is a 7 lb. MinPin 22 weeks old around 1/10/13. She was taken into rescue when her owner could not afford her injuries. We were told she had fallen off a counter around 8-9 weeks old. Her leg was not attended to and that delay in medical care caused her to end up losing her back right leg.

Despite her missing limb (which she occasionally has phantom pain if she's not stimulated enough) she is a little spitfire and as fast as can be. Watch where you step, she'll be under your feet in seconds!

Stella is pee pad trained since she cannot go outside in the cold weather (makes the nerves contract and become painful where her leg used to be). In nice weather, however, she is good to go!

Being a very loving and active puppy, Stella needs a family who can spend at least 2 quality hours a day stimulating and playing with her. This keeps her mind off her phantom pain (Otherwise, she will bite at the surgery area). A stay home or part time mom/dad would be very ideal.

Due to her size, Stella's adoption is reserved for families with children over the age of 16 and a fully fenced yard is required. Adopters living within a 30 mile radius of Cleveland are welcome.

Stella would be great with another playful dog small/medium sized. She is also ok with cats.

This little angel had a rough, painful start in life but she is looking forward to being furever pampered in the right home :-)

All Dogs Unlimited Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on all shots, and are given a monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Upon adoption, all vet records and any current medications are provided to the adopter.

If you are interested in adopting, please complete an adoption application located at http://www.dogsunlimitedrescue.org/Adopt.html

THE SUBMISSION OF YOUR APPLICATION DOES NOT GUARANTEE AN ADOPTION NOR DOES IT OBLIGATE YOU TO ADOPT. Multiple applications are accepted for any available pet and a home is chosen that is the best match between the available pet and the potential furever family. Your application will be processed as quickly as possible and if approved, a home visit would be scheduled. No adoption is final until an Adoption Agreement is presented and agreed to by both parties.

Our goal is to find the right match of our dogs to their new family so all involved are furever happy! Questions: email gina@dogsunlimitedrescue.org

And THANK YOU for considering a rescue dog for your family!
