My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Updated Bio 2-7-14. Lily Rose is a 10 year old little sweetheart. She weights 9.7 pounds and is being fostered in Leesburg, FL

Lily Rose has fully recovered from her spay and bladder stone surgery. She had her dental and lost a few more teeth, but it hasn't affected her eating at all. She is feeling and doing so much better. She is a sweet, happy, and healthy little girl. And so smart too. She has just about gotten her house training down. She rarely has accidents in the house. She sleeps all night in her crate.

Lily Rose appears to have allergies to chicken and grain. Because of this her foster parents have put her on a limited ingredient diet which seems to be helping her a lot. She also get 1/2 tab of potassium citrate two times a day to insure the bladder stones do not reoccur. She's a really good eater and can finish her meal in record time, so her special food is not problem. Her food plan is a little more expensive than a good high quality no-grain diet, but not much more. She is currently eating Royal Canin hypoallergenic Venison and Rabbit canned diet. It's purchased at the vet. The canned food has more liquid than the kibble. The additional liquid in her diet will also help prevent the bladder stones from reforming.

Lily Rose is not the best cuddler. Most likely she was never cuddled in the past and doesn't know how. She seems to prefer being in her doggie bed next to her foster parents, rather than on their lap. She loves her doggie beds and will be in one as long as she is in the same room as her foster parents. She is learning to trust her foster parents more and more. She continues to get along with the other dogs and cats in her foster home. She loves to be outside and walk all around the fenced yard smelling every corner of it.

Lily Rose is such a love. She deserves to find her perfect forever home after all she's been though. Anyone who adopts this precious baby will be getting such an angel. Please find it in your heart to give Lily Rose her happily ever after.

Updated Bio 01/13/14: Lily Rose is an adorable 9.12 pound yorkie (or yorkie mix) and about 10 years old. She is being fostered in Leesburg, FL.

Lily Rose had her bladder stone operation, and a large painful stone was removed. She was also spayed and had a few teeth extracted. She is a much happier dog now, and has made herself at home and part of the family.

She is such a well-behaved girl. She sleeps all night in her crate and is a good eater. She was put on special diet for bladder health. Her Rx food costs no more than any high quality dog food, and best of all she loves it. It is most likely Lily Rose is hearing impaired, but we are not sure it is a total hearing loss. She seems to hear high pitch sounds.

She is not a very active dog and is content lying in her dog bed as long as she can be near her people. Her FM and FD have watched in amusement as Lily Rose pushed her dog bed closer to where they were sitting to be near them.

She is such a sweet tempered, well-mannered pup. She never barks and waits her turn for everything. She never even tried to jump up on the furniture. Lily Rose gets along with both her foster sisters and brother and has not shown any interest in the cat. She even walks nicely on a leash.

We are working on house training. Now that the bladder stone has been removed, we can concentrate on having her do all her business outside. She has made a lot of progress in a short time. She is a smart girl and hopefully she'll figure it out in no time.

There is no question as to how cute she is. When her hair grows in Lily Rose is going to be a knockout. Whoever adopts this precious girl is going to be very lucky to have such a sweetheart in their life. She has been through so much in her life, she so deserves to spend her forever in the arms of a loving, caring family. Could it be you?

Please, because of her age, no families with children under 12 years old.
