My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We call Jade, our gorgeous 8-year-old seal-point snowshoe Siamese our “un-Siamese” because she is quiet as a mouse and doesn't talk at all. Jade has a single purpose in life: forget the toys, this cat is all about getting as much snuggling and cuddling as she possibly can. This perfectly behaved girl is sweet and docile. Her foster family describes her as a "dear little person." While she's great with people she knows, she overwhelms easily with new people and situations. If Jade is our un-Siamese, Yala is ALL Siamese: quiet he ain't, for starters. He is very good at communicating what he wants, and he does it loudly. This 7-year-old wedge-head lilac point is friendly to a fault and always likes to be near people or other animals. He loves to sit next to you, with maximum body contact. Interestingly, he does not like to be picked up (if you take Jade as well, she is happy to pick up the slack in this area). He always wants to know what you are doing, and you will often catch him looking over your shoulder to see what's happening. Of course, being in the middle of things all the time means that Yala occasionally gets into trouble; if you take both, you'll know when this happens, because Jade tattles on him: you can almost see her saying, "he’s going to get into trouble..." While Jade and Yala get along great together, they are not a bonded pair, so can go together or separately. They are fine with dogs and other cats, but no young kids, simply because they have never lived with them.
