My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, Scrappy here… Just wanted to give you an update on my progress… I have had my neuter and hip surgery and I’m doing GREAT!!! I am 4 weeks post op and the doctor says I’m healing great. As you can see I have come a long way since I was found on the streets. I am healthy now and ready for my forever home, could it be YOU who wants to adopt me ? I am a very well mannered boy, I am fully potty trained, crate trained and I know how to use the doggie door. I get along with all dogs and I love children and squeaky toys. I know how to fetch, sit and lay down.. I also talk a lot.. not bark but actually talk (dog language of course) I love to run and play, go for walks (I’m good on a leash) and I’m a real cuddle bug… I’m just a happy boy but I would be much happier if I had my very own home with my very own people to love and care for me. I am fully vetted, up to date on all my shots.. I am neutered and micro chipped.. My foster Mom loves me but she says it is time for me to go to my forever home so she can help another dog who needs her (like I did) Please don't overlook me, you wont be sorry if you pick me cause my foster mom says I’m a wonderful little dog, So stop and take a look at me and see for yourself just how handsome I am and what a good boy I am.

Hi,

My name is Scrappy.. I was found wondering the streets in Casa Grande AZ. and was eating any little scrap I could find to survive.. Hence my name Scrappy. I was picked up by Animal Control and brought to the shelter where I sat and waited for days for someone to come for me but they never did. I was on my last day to live and there was no interest by anyone in saving me from certain death. Then a miracle happened, a lady (my foster mom) said she wanted me, oh the joy I felt knowing someone wanted me. She came to pick me up and I gave her lots of kisses to say “Thank You” she took me home and my life has been great ever since. My foster mom says I am a very good boy, she always tells me that she does not know why anyone would give up on such a wonderful boy like me. Let me tell you a little about myself… I have a dislocated hip and it hurts real bad but I try not to complain too much about it because I just got the news that the money has been raised for my surgery, My surgery is scheduled for Jan. 6th.
I am very submissive with other dogs and I love to play with them. I love toys that squeak (my favorite) and I like to go for walks. I am well behaved and I’m fully potty trained, I can use the doggie door too. I am also crate trained but I really don't like being in a cage for to long. I would do best with someone who is home most of the time and someone who has another dog so I will have someone to play with. I love ALL people, even children.. I’m not sure about cats because we don't have any where I live now but I will do my best to get along with one if you have any.

Scrappy is a delightful little boy, all he asks for is a warm place to lay his head and some food to eat… Oh, and a lot of love too. Scrappy is the sweetest dog I have ever had, he is neutered, micro chipped and up to date on all his shots. He is not ready to be adopted just yet because he has to heal from hip surgery first. Once he is healed he will go to the best home we can find for him. As I said and cannot say it enough… Scrappy is the SWEETEST dog I have ever had the pleasure of fostering, he gets along with EVERYONE with no problems at all. He LOVES to cuddle with you and will follow you everywhere. If you are interested in adopting Scrappy please get a hold of my foster mom (Brandy Phillips, Egbert) or Yorkie Rescue of America and fill out the adoption application.
