My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Harley is a charming, gorgeous little guy with impeccable manners and lots of love to give. Harley comes to rescue because his elderly owner could no longer care for him, but you can tell that he has been a pampered and cherished family pet. He is happy and bouncy and loves to be with people - with them, on them, next to them, etc. - wherever they are. Harley loves to sleep in bed, watch TV with people, and to prance around on little walks. He is fast, active, and alert, and very well-trained - he bows down at the door for his person to attach the leash, and despite not yet being neutered (and he will be neutered ASAP), he has only marked once since coming to my house, even in the presence of other dogs and with the scent of other male dogs all around (he only marked the vacuum, but min pins hate vacuums, so that kind of made sense). Harley's pampering has left him a bit overindulged - he could lose 2-3lbs to reclaim his svelte figure - he was not able to go for long walks in his last home, but a more active lifestyle would be ideal for him. Harley also has a bit of a distaste for dog food and his new home will need to work on transitioning him back to more of a dog food-based diet. Harley doesn't really have any bad habits - he doesn't chew on anything, he only barks when alerted to a sound outside or a doorbell, and he is just the sweetest most affectionate little guy. He likes to play bow and then crawl along the floor on his belly while his tail wags a mile a minute, and then he flips onto his side and back for belly rubs. Harley would do best in a home where people can spend time with him - a home with retirees, a stay-at-home mom, or someone who can sometimes work from home, etc. - his owner hardly left him alone for any amount of time over the last 2 years, so a home with long periods of alone time would not be ideal. Harley gets along with other dogs, so a home with other dogs would be nice, and would provide him with company throughout the day - Harley can be a little needy, and will bounce up and down next to you to be picked up (like when you are at a desk), but he quickly settles when he realizes that you are not going to pick him up. Harley is an amazing dog who will easily fit in to his new family and offer them years of snuggles and kisses and laughs.
