Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Comet is a year old mixed breed dog who weighs just 22 pounds. He is tall for his weight with deer-like legs and he loves to run and play catch. Comet has a lot of energy and needs a fenced yard and another dog his size or larger or a few kids to help run off his energy. He would also make a good jogging partner once he gets a little better with leash manners. Comet also has his quiet times, where he grabs a toy and settles into a dog bed or kennel to rest. He doesn't bark a lot and can be redirected with a toy. Foster mom says: Comet is the sweetest guy with the happiest, most loving personality. He is so excited to meet new people and loves everyone he meets. He settles into a new home pretty quickly. He loves his food, and knows the value of a good comfy dog bed (he would rather be piled on top of another dog in a dog bed than lay on the carpet!) He gets on the furniture sometimes, but will listen if you tell him "off." He can be quite the snuggler and likes to be a lap dog. If you let him sleep in the bed he will curl up with you or even curl around your head on the pillow! He knows sit and shake and will surely learn lots of new tricks. He is food motivated and does well with positive reinforcement. If he is naughty, a stern "no" is all it takes because he wants to be on your good side. He enjoys having his teeth brushed and he doesn't even mind the vacuum cleaner. Comet is dependably house trained and will kennel up in a wire kennel with a treat for encouragement. He is in rescue with Happy Hound Rescue, a Minnesota non-profit, all volunteer organization with 5013C status pending. Our dogs all are heartworm tested negative and have drontal for worming, DA2PPvL+Cv vaccines for distemper, parvo, etc., bordatella vaccine for kennel cough, rabies vaccine, Capstar to kill fleas, Frontline to prevent fleas and ticks, spay or neuter, and HomeAgain microchip. Our adoption fee is $235.00 which is refundable for up to two weeks if the placement is not successful. View our website at www.happyhoundrescue.org to see our available dogs and the information we need to make a successful placement.
