My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Zorro!
**Being fostered in Davis***
Zorro is a wonderful puppy! Sweet, cuddly and loves his tummy rubbed. If you are looking for a hiking partner, walking buddy, or couch cuddler then Zorro is your boy! He LOVES the great outdoors, always up for an adventure, but happily settles down for inside relaxation and cuddle. He's an adorable goofball puppy!
Zorro is a super sweet 4 month old black lab mix who was rescued from living alongside a busy freeway with his mother (black lab) and sister. Thankfully a concerned neighbor saw them, contacted one of our volunteers and they were quickly picked up, vetted, and put into foster care.

Zorro has grown into a darling, healthy, happy and smart boy! He has the sweetest face-just look at his goofy ears! We are just over the moon about this little guy. He is a sweetheart who loves people of all shapes and sizes, dogs, peacefully coexists with a cat and rides happily in a car.

Believe it or not, Zorro already has basic obedience-sit, down, target, loose-leash walking has a good recall (will need consistency with all of this of course, as he is a puppy!) and is doing fantastic with house training. He has GREAT FOCUS, is eager to please and it a dream to train-a very smart boy!

We think Zorro would do best in a home with another confident dog as he often looks to his current canine foster brother for direction. He also would be happiest in a home where he is not left alone all day. Because he is so smart, he would great in obedience classes and is a great candidate for learning a wide variety of tricks! Live by a park, pr beach? Daily runs in addition to leash walking are a must for this little dude has he has great energy-ball at the park is one of his most favorite hobbies!

If you are interested, please email rabbitearsadoptioninfo@gmail.com to receive an application and be directly connected with his adoption coordinator.
Due to the expensive nature of animal rescue work, there is an adoption fee to help cover medical costs. He has been neutered, de-wormed, is up-to-date on all shots, been checked by a vet and is a healthy puppy.

**Zorro is a puppy and will be for awhile. Remember that puppies need structure, training, consistency and attention. They cannot be left alone for long periods of time without being checked on.
