Roxy is a sweet 3 year old Brindle great dane female with an enthusiastic personality. She gets along well with people and adores her foster family. (Her favorite person is her foster dad.)
She's got some impressing springs in her back legs, and will use them to get a good view of what's happening over the 6 foot wall in her back yard. Roxy loves to know what's going on around her. When she's home, she'll watch the sidewalk from the front window to make sure that all is well. Her foster is working on reining in some of her barking.
Roxy is potty trained. She is doing well with "sit" and "down," and is learning that when her foster mom comes home, she's expected to go to her designated spot to get pets. She hasn't had any problems with counter surfing, although if you're getting something out of the refrigerator, she might poke her head in just to look around. (She doesn't take anything.)
Roxy is working on her leash skills. She can be headstrong, but wearing her gentle leader helps.
When she visited the neighbor's, she met the cat, but didn't seem to mind him. She gets excited when meeting other dogs, especially when she's on a leash, so slow introductions to new dogs might be best.
Because of her boisterous nature, she would do best in a home with children over 6 years of age. She likes children just fine, but when she's excited, it would be easy for her to inadvertently knock them over.
Roxy is looking for someone with a steady hand and a big heart. Are you that person?
