Ranger is a sweet, mellow 5 year old black Lab who is losing his home from no fault of his own. His family of four years just had a baby, and since he is not used to babies he is unsure around them and needs a new home fast! Fosters or adopters at this time are both being accepted, as we need to keep him from ending up going to the shelter.

Ranger’s former family adores him, describing him as easy and mellow and affectionate. He is crate-trained and usually spends the day there when his parents leave for work. He loves his stuffed animals, playing fetch and tug and going on hikes. He thrives on his routine of a morning and evening walk, and then he’s content to get some scratches and cuddle up on his doggy bed for the night. He’s not much for playing with other dogs as he’s been the only dog his whole life, and so he’d love to have a new home as the only pet.

Ranger is a silly, happy boy who will entertain you with his tricks of sit, stay, high five, ‘sleep’ and ‘play dead’. Won’t you consider opening your heart and home to this amazing and lovable boy? He will reward you 1000 times over with sweet kisses and a lifetime of devotion.
