Here's what the humans have to say about me:
How much are you going to love Daisy when you meet her? To the moon and back, we bet! She's such a little cutie pie with her perky ears and bandit mask of black spots, she inspires spontaneous smiles and affection from strangers when out on walks, and it's easy to see why. Sweet Daisy just radiates happiness and good will wherever she goes. She wants to be friends with everyone she sees--adults, children, dogs, cats, you name it! She's especially fond of children and seeks them out with a wagging tail and unlimited kisses to offer.
Daisy has the most adorable "sit" ever, with her chest out and her head back, waiting for guidance from her people. In fact, she thinks "sit" is the ticket to all things good. She sits in crowds, she sits on tree stumps, she sits for treats, and she sits to ponder the world. When in doubt, her butt hits the floor! This makes her lovely to handle and work with. Still a puppy, she already knows not only "sit," but also "lie down" and "touch," and she's working on "watch-me." Because she's very food and affection motivated (peanut butter and mandarin oranges are two favorite treats), she's easy to train, and she's so eager to learn, she'll pick up whatever her people want to teach her. She's already crate trained (she literally leaps into her crate at dinner time!) and is 99% housebroken too (only occasional morning accidents if she isn't let outside fast enough).
Daisy lives in a foster home with both cats and dogs and loves them all. She's perplexed about why the kitties don't want to play with her, but she politely takes their rejection in stride (even when they swat her in the face!) and continues to hope they warm to her. She'd really love to live with another playful dog, but she's not at all picky about her friends. And when no friends are around, she's great at entertaining herself. Her favorite toy is a ball and rope combo, which she will happily frolic around with on her own. If she does have a playmate, fetch and tug of war are two of her favorite games.
Because she's so people-focused, Daisy is always happiest at her person's side. She adores laps, but if one isn't available she'll happily curl up next to whatever part of you she can get! She's also content to be at her person's side when out and about too. There's no adventure Daisy hasn't loved yet. Whether on long car rides, trips to the beach, lunches at outdoor cafes, hikes in the woods, or crowded festivals, she's been a star. She behaves beautifully no matter the setting, with a fun-loving and adventurous spirit. She goes into new situations calmly and doesn't even startle when surprises come her way. In the car, she happily curls up and takes a nap. What more could you want in a companion?
