Here's what the humans have to say about me:
So many times a dogâs name describes their personality; in Honeyâs case, this is definitely true. This petite powerhouse is just the sweetest little tri-colored beagle girl ever. Recently retired from biomedical research, Honey is adjusting to this new world exceptionally well. She loves to run and plays for hours with her foster beagles in their fenced in yard soaking in the sun and fresh air. While she is still cautious about some new things, she overcomes her shyness with her curiosity to learn about the big new world and meet new people. When yard play is complete, Honey loves to chew on antlers or other dog chews. She is not big on playing with other toys yet but can take soft toys to sleep with her. Her world would be perfect except for a couple of things; loud noises and crating. Trucks or motorcycles startle her and cause her to run to get into the house where she feels safe.
Although we are fans of crate training, Honey is not, so a family willing to train and housetrain without crating will be needed! :) She is doing very well with house training and will do her best to alert you when she needs to relieve herself. She loves to be at your side and snuggle up in your lap as soon as you sit down. Since she is a smaller little girl, she can fit right into that small space right next to you. Honey is a sweet medium energy beagle, loads of fun and can be a wonderful addition to your family. Her ideal home is one with canine companion, fenced in yard, and no children under 8 who may just be a but too loud and fast for her comfort level.
