My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bear is a handsome, sweet boy who, like too many others, has a sad story. He is about six years old and was living with four other dogs as well as his people. Due to some bad circumstances, his people were forced to surrender all five dogs to our shelter. Bear is the last of the bunch, but definitely worthy of a great new home. We think that he was at the bottom of the pack order, so he likes to stay out of the way. He learned that he did not get attention, or anything else for that matter, before the others. Because of this, Bear has a little bit of anxiety. He has not been destructive in any way, he just paces sometimes when he is uncertain of things. In the past two months, his life has just been turned upside down. He moved several times, has been in two different shelters and has lost all of his family and siblings. This dog needs a nice quiet home where he can get some patience, understanding and lots of love. He lets us kiss him on the nose! Due to his anxiety, a quiet home without small children would be best for him. *************** UPDATE *************** Bear is now neutered, fully vaccinated and heartworm tested. We know that he likes to play with kitties. He wants to chase them, but has no intention of harming them. He also loves other dogs and would be a great companion for another laid back pooch like him.
