Hi, my name is Elvis and I am in the building! I am a 2 year old Treeing Walker Coonhound and weigh about 70 pounds.
I have attended dog training and have my basic obedience training. I will go to the door if I need to go outside and might even bark if you don't notice me there. I am good with others dogs and I love to play. Did I mention I'm good with cats too! I play with the cats in my foster home all the time. I LOVE kids! My foster mommy says that I am gentle and as goofy as any 70 pound dog can be!
I do need a high privacy fence because chain link are easy for me to climb. If you have an electric wire at the top of your chain link fence then I will stay away. I am learning that I don't have shoes and that means I can't have any one else's either but I do like to hoard things.
I want to be where my people are and so if you leave me outside when you go in, I'm going to tell you about it...I just want to be close to my humans. I don't bark much...well...except when the UPS man comes! Some Coonhounds enjoy the recreational art of counter surfing and I might do that if something smells good but I know what "NO" means and I will stop if you correct me. I like dishwater. If I have clean water I might still opt for some delicious dish water...again I respond well to corrections.
I do have alot of energy so I need someone to play with me. It takes a minute or two to settle down when I come in from playing but then I like to stretch out in a chair and be lazy.
I am a special boy who is looking for a special family to love. I have so much love to give, don't you have room in your heart for me?
I am fully vetted, neutered, this includes all age appropriate vaccinations as well as Bordatela. I am on monthly flea and heart worm preventatives to keep me healthy. I have been wormed and am free of disease.
Please note that I am available to move to a different state but you as the adopter are responsible for the transportation cost. My Adoption fee is $250! Please read about our adoption process prior to filling out an application. I am being fostered in South Carolina and you can meet me after you fill out an application for me! I do not want to meet a stranger so I want to know who it is I am meeting! During a meeting it is advised to bring the entire family, including your 4 legged ones!

2. We will give you a call within 72 hours after receiving a complete application
3. Once we speak to you and feel you are a good fit, we will set up a meet and greet
4. Once we meet and do a home visit we can then and only then finalize an adoption. Every member of your household must be present for this meeting
5. We do adopt out of state and will do a home visit out of state as well
6. You can either drive to pick up your pet or you can pay for transportation to have your pet delivered to you.
7. All animals in your house MUST be spayed/neutered unless you have medical documentation preventing you from doing so. NO EXCEPTIONS.
8. Unless you have outside working dogs we will not adopt to a home with outside dogs
9. Fence is not required.
10. Must be 25 or above to adopt (exceptions may be made case by case)
11. Adoption fee is $250 which includes a fully vetted/spayed/neutered/micro-chipped and up to date animal
12. The adoption fee is non negotiable
