My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Baby Sammy was trapped from his feral colony in San Diego and was to be neutered and released to the wild. When a friend who rescues kittens saw him, her heart could not let this little boy be released back to the wild—he was so small and helpless. She took Sammy to her foster home, but Sammy got lost in the commotion and spent the next two weeks hiding in the closet when people were around only to come out at night to play with the other kitties and eat what remained of dinner. Sammy was brought to us for personal attention. He was timid at first, but within three days full of adventure--an overnight trip to grandma and grandpa’s, a trip to Home Depot with grandpa, Christmas night with loving kids, two days at the office and a visit with his aunt and uncle, he’s turned out to be a bright little boy. Sammy has a cute round face and beautiful round golden eyes. He enjoys being held and kissed and purrs as soon as you look at him. Sammy will sleep all night pressed up against your cheek if you let him. He has nightmares, but they are subsiding now that he is feeling safer in his home.
Sammy is currently being fostered in a home without other kittens and longs for a time when he will have a little friend to tumble and play with. He is still a little skittish with new noises, but will come around quickly in a loving home.
Sammy is neutered, dewormed, Advantage treated, has his first 3-way FVRCP vaccines and will be given his booster shots before adoption. (Photos were taken 12/28/07—approx age 12 weeks). Adoption fee $95.
