The Catahoula Leopard Dog, also known as the Louisiana Catahoula Leopard Dog or Catahoula Cur, is a dog bred to hunt a variety of game, herd livestock, and guard property and family. Catahoula Leopard Dogs are medium to large-sized dogs with coats that come in many colors and patterns, including a spotted leopard pattern, from which the breed name is derived.
