Can Bearded Collies be left alone?

Yes, Bearded Collies can be left alone, but ideally only for short periods of time. These herding dogs can be Velcro pups and tend to want to be right next to their family members. If left alone for long periods of time every day, they can become chronically anxious and destructive. 

If you work away from home and can’t bring your Bearded Collie along with you, it’s best to consider enrolling them in doggy daycare, hiring a pet sitter, or reaching out to friends or family for help keeping your pup company if you’re interested in adopting this breed.
