Band for Animal

Dog rescue in Fairfax, VA

Band for Animal is an organization of dedicated volunteers in VA who work in partnership with regional rescuers and activists throughout Korea who rescue dogs that are in dire needs due to euthanasia, abandoned or meat-market trade and find them homes in the US. These dogs have very low chance of finding homes in Korea because of the stigma associated with unwanted or mixed dogs.

We are also working to end the dog meat trade in Korea. Our partners in Korea are the front runners in this movement and also passionate activists participating in all rallies to create awareness and to put pressure on the South Korean government in order to put an end to this brutal trade.

We are a passionate and dedicated group of volunteers in DC/VA/MD. We work in partnership with local and regional South Korean dog rescuers/activist and high kill shelters. Many of our dogs come from the brutal dog meat trade and are also puppy mill survivors. These two billion dollar industries work hand in hand with each other. We bring them for adoption to the US because they have a very low chance of ever finding homes in their homeland because of the “stigma” associated with unwanted dogs.
