We are a non-profit, no-kill dog rescue located in Bonaire, GA. Our purpose is to "Take a chance" on dogs that would otherwise die in a cold, lonely, shelter never feeling the love and happiness that they deserve. We save dogs from being euthanized in animal shelters throughout the state of Georgia. Most of our dogs have come from terrible situations and we work to rehabilitate them both physically and emotionally. We work to educate the public on the importance of spaying and neutering their pets. We also strive to end dog fighting by educating the people in our community on what to be aware of and how the people who fight dogs operate.

Additional adoption info
The process begins by you filling out an online adoption questionnaire on our website (www.takeachanceanimalrescue.com under the 'contracts' tab). If your application is approved, we will contact you within 72 hours to schedule a meet and greet with the dog. If you have existing dogs in the home, we will also schedule a meet and greet between the dogs.
If everything goes well and you want to adopt our dog, we will do all the final touches (making sure the dog is fixed, microchipped, completely UTD on vaccines, etc) and will bring the dog to you at your home and conduct an initial home visit. During home visits we are primarily looking for safety hazards to the dog and secureness of the backyard (fence, no fence, etc). We will schedule another home visit within 1-6 months after the adoption.
If you live in an apartment, condo, townhouse, or have a landlord, we require documentation from the landlord/apartment manager stating they do not have any breed restrictions.
Our adoption fee ranges between $150-$400, with the most typical fee being $200. Fee can change depending on the amount of vet care the dog needed while in our care (injuries prior to being rescued, heartworm treatment, ongoing medications, etc). Adoption fee includes the dog being fixed, microchipped, completely UTD on vaccines, and being on flea/heartworm prevention. **All of our dogs are spayed/neutered before being available for adoption. There are NO exceptions**
