Misunderstood Mutts Rescue (MMR) is a volunteer based organization serving the Puget Sound region, Bellingham, Yakima Valley, Tri Cities, Vancouver/Portland. We are dedicated to ensuring dogs have good homes after being abandoned, neglected or thrown away by their people. We will pay for Neuter/Spay in Yakima provided funds are available.
MMR was formed in October 2016 with the goal of rescuing dogs from our own backyards. We do not bring dogs here from California, Texas, Mexico or anywhere else besides our home state. Our ultimate goal is be a catalyst for a world free of homeless, neglected, abused, and abandoned animals. The harder MMR works to achieve this goal, the greater the reduction in euthanization rates throughout Oregon and Washington State.

Additional adoption info
We strive to find the perfect home for our dogs and so we require an application, home check, references, and a meet & greet. We like to explain our process, answer all questions and give out all information about our dog.
Most of our dogs range from $250.00 to $400.00 and this includes spay/neuter, vaccinations, & transportation. The majority of our dogs come from neglectful and/or abusive situations and require a decompression period between foster and adoption. A representative from MMR will be with you every step of the way to ensure the best transition possible for not only our dogs, but for you.
