Rescue FAQs

Hope for All Pets, Inc, or HAPi, is a non-profit animal rescue located in Lexington, KY, and typically serve surrounding counties. However, we are happy to also adopt out of state. If you are an out of state adopter, you must be willing to allow a home visit to be completed by a fellow rescuer, who is local to your area, unless a HAPi representative is able to travel.

Additional adoption info

To adopt one of our fur babies, there is first an adoption application. This application must be completed in full prior to consideration. If your application is approved, we can move forward with a home visit. After the home visit, there is an adoption contract that must be signed prior to adoption, which states the conditions you agree to for the adoption. We are very thorough and want to ensure that the homes we place our animals in are their forever homes.
Depending on the animal you are interested in, there may be additional requirements. For example, certain breeds we may require you to own a home, or have a fenced yard. Those requirements will be discussed prior to adoption.

Our adoption fees are:
Cats/kittens- $50
*IIncludes spay/neuter, FVRCP, Rabies (if age appropriate), FIV/Feline Leukemia test, microchip, deworming, and flea prevention.

Dogs (6 months and up)- $200
*This includes their spay/neuter, 4DX (tests for both heartworms and tick borne illnesses), DHPP, Rabies, microchip, deworming, and flea prevention.

Dogs (under 6 months)- $250
*This includes their spay/neuter, DHPP, Rabies (if age appropriate), microchip, deworming, and flea prevention.

If we have any other small animals (rabbits, ferrets, etc.) available for adoption, their fees will be listed in their information.
