Tennessee Animal Rescue & Shelter - NASHVILLE Chapter

Animal rescue in Nashville, TN

Tennessee Animal Rescue and Shelter Inc. was founded to help alleviate the suffering of animals. There are way too many animals that are abandoned, neglected, or abused by no
fault of their own in our rural area. This shelter plans to help these animals get the homes they deserve through rehabilitation and proper education.

Rescue FAQs

We are located in Wayne County, TN, which has no other shelters. We receive a high volume of dogs and cats from Wayne County, and vet them and prepare them for a new and
better life!

Additional adoption info

We begin with an application, and then conduct an interview to verify that you will be providing a safe and loving home for your new pet. We have an adoption contract that is required
upon adoption of an animal. It states that you must adequately take care of the animal which includes shelter, confinement if necessary, and proper nutrition. Our adoption fee is $450
to New England, which includes transport to a stop via www.alphadogtransport.com. The adopter must be able to meet at one of these stops to pick up your new family member. The
$450 fee covers transport, health certificate, all vaccinations (1st and 2nd only for puppies under 6 months), and spay/neuter for dogs/cats over 6 months.
If your adopted pet is too young to spay/neuter prior to adoption, a deposit will be required, and will be returned to you once your pet is over 6 months and your vet has performed the
procedure. We do require a separate spay/neuter contract in this case.
