Founded by Samuel Adams, a Jemez Pueblo community member pursuing his career as a Veterinarian, Jemez Pueblo Animal Rescue (JPAR) is a 501c3 Non-Profit Organization. Our sole purpose is to rescue, rehabilitate, and find permanent, loving homes for stray cats and dogs found in the Pueblo of Jemez. We are the first and only animal rescue organization established on a New Mexico Native American reservation. We are an all-volunteer organization that relies on large and small donations from individuals just like yourself. With the support from the Jemez Pueblo Police Department and Jemez Valley Animal Amigos, JPAR oversees the welfare of animals in the Pueblo of Jemez.

Additional adoption info
JPAR requires all potiential adopters to fill out an adoption application, for the desired animal. All adoption applications will be considered and reviewed by JPAR's board members. Once an adopter is chosen, a meet and greet is arranged. If the meet and greet is successful, the adopter may take the animal home. The adoption fee is $100 and the fee includes: health checks, sterilization, testing, up-to-date vaccinations, deworming, and a microchip. For adoptable animals under the age of six-months, adopters are required to fill out a young animal agreement form. The young animal agreement form is a mutual agreement between the adopter(s) and JPAR, which requires the adopter(s) to spay/neuter the animal when he/she is old enough. Adoptable animals that are not spayed or neutered have an adoption fee of $50.
