Surfcat Café & Adoptions in Ventura, California, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit special needs cat rescue that will provide sanctuary for and connect adoptable shelter cats with people and potential new homes. Currently Surfcat is a foster based cat rescue dedicated to educating the community about cat care, and responsible animal stewardship. Our next step will be to open our Cat Zone along with our surf themed thrift store DaKine Finds. In the future there will be story hours for children, facilities for hosting small gatherings, and our vision even includes Cat Mat Yoga, Movie Night, and an Open Mic Night for singers, songwriters, and poets! Follow our progress on Facebook and Instagram.

Surfcat serves the Ventura County area by rescuing long term, seniors, hospice or special needs residents from our no-kill shelter thus supporting the no-kill efforts by working with behavior issues and less adoptable cats.

So you've fallen in love right? What do I do next?
Potential adopters will fill out an adoption application through our website and agree to a home check before they are considered as an adopter.
We ask for a donation fee of $125.00 per cat. All cats are spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated (age appropriate) dewormed and behavior screened. We make the best human/cat match possible. We ask that Surfcats be kept indoors only as they are not suited for unsupervised outdoor living.
