Rescue FAQs

We can't save every dog or cat , but we can save a pet a day! Save A Dog A Day is dedicated to rescuing animals in shelters throughout the United States that are in danger of being euthanized and find them rescues, foster homes and safe, loving, permanent homes!
We are a 501(c) 3 national rescue group. We adopt out pets to anyone across the country and have foster homes across the country. If you see a pet you are interested in we will state the location of the pet in each ad so you know where the foster home is located.

Additional adoption info

We require all pets to be spayed or neutered. Often we will have this done before the pet is adopted. If the pet is too young to be spayed or neutered at the time of adoption, we will follow up to ensure that this has been done by the owner at the appropriate time. We must have an approved adoption application, complete a home visit and check a veterinarian reference before adoption is completed. Adoption fees vary on each adoption based upon the age of the pet, the health of the pet and the costs incurred for the animal's medical care prior to adoption, as well as transportation costs. Fees range from $150.00 to $350.00
