Additional adoption info

Adopting a dog is a lifelong commitment; on average, dogs can live for 10-12 years. It takes a lot of time, patience, responsibility, and even money to care for a dog. We are only looking for serious applicants that can make a commitment to adopting one of our dogs for his/her lifetime. A quick run-down of the steps of our adoption process are:

* You must be 21 years of age and have permission from your landlord or have acceptable home owner's insurance that will permit you to adopt the dog you are applying for. If you meet these two qualifications, please complete our Adoption Application.

* We will review your application and call your references that you provide on the application. If everything checks out to be fine, then we will contact you to agree on a date and time for you to meet our rescue dogs.

* If you fall in love with one of our dogs, then we will have one of our volunteers arrange a date and time to visit your home to make sure it's doggy-proof (we do not approve/deny applicants based on how beautiful your home is, so don't worry!)

* Finally, if your home visit checks out to be fine, we can then finalize the adoption by completing the Adoption Contract with you!

We do require an adoption fee in order to adopt one of our dogs. We only require an adoption fee because it costs us a lot of money and even time to care for all our rescue dogs and to give them the proper medical care they need.

All our rescue dogs are examined by our veterinarian, fully vaccinated, de-wormed, spayed/neutered, heartworm tested, treated for fleas/ticks and heartworms, and micro-chipped prior to adoption.

Adult Dogs (8 months and older): $200
Puppies (under 8 months old): $300
