Lalitamba Animal Rescue is an all-volunteer, no-kill 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. We began as a limited-admission sanctuary for cats that were, due to age, behavior, or health condition, not readily adoptable. As we continued with our work, cats that needed homes and were adoptable began to show up. We now offer full-scale adoption services to help the kitties find their forever homes. Could it be with you?

We are located on Manhattan's Upper West Side and welcome adopters from all over the city.
Additional adoption info
Interested adopters are welcome to visit the cats in our free-roaming sanctuary or at their foster homes. When you meet a cat you'd like to adopt, please fill out an adoption information form. Your new friend will be ready for a home, with a wellness check-up, FIV/FELV testing, up-to-date vaccines, and spay-neuter. The $125 adoption donation helps us to cover these costs and provide medical support for the sanctuary cats.
