Rescue Without Boundaries is an small canine breed rescue group. We are 501 (c) 3 nonprofit, dedicated to saving lives and finding forever homes for stray, abandoned and surrendered dogs, most of which are in high kill shelters. Our policy is to rescue for life and if any of our rescued dogs cannot stay with their adoptive family, they must be returned to Rescue Without Boundaries, and not to a shelter. Most of RWOB’s dogs have come from overcrowded shelters in DFW, Texas; however, we also take dogs from other local shelters, veterinarians, and other situations that require rescue. All of our dogs have had their vaccination requirements, are wormed, spayed/neutered, micro-chipped, on heartworm treatment We do not have a physical shelter as we are strictly a dog rescue organization.
Additional adoption info
Step 1 - The application:
http://www.rescuewithoutboundaries.org/adopt/adoption-application
Step 2 - The phone interview:
Volunteers review each adoption application, and if we think we might have a dog who is a good match for you, we will contact you for a phone interview.
Step 3 - The meet and greet the pooch:
Our organization does not have a shelter where the dogs can be visited. Our dogs are in foster homes. We do NOT arrange meetings between interested individuals and our fosters until an applicant has been approved via this adoption process.
Once you have been approved, a volunteer (usually the foster) will contact you about scheduling a time for you to meet the dog(s) you are interested in. This meeting may occur at the fosters residence or your home, or neutral territory for the home dog.
Step 4 - The home safety check:
Once a home safety check is passed, the adopter is now ready to start the home trial for a new four-legged cutie pie!
Step 5 - The home trial:
Want to make sure that your adopted pet adjusts well to your home? After deciding on a dog to adopt, you will get a weel Trial Adoption Period (TAP). This allows you to see the dog in your home environment.
Step 6 - The adoption donation:
We depend on adoption donations to partially cover our costs, although they don't come close to covering all our expenses.
Here is the recommended minimum donation by age:
-puppies 6 months and younger $300
7 months and older $250
-senior pups- please check with rescue (depending on the particular dog)
