How You Can Help
Foster
Dedicated fosters can provide our small dogs with basic training, comfortable homes, rehabilitation, exercise, human companionship, good nutrition and lots of hands on love until their perfect furever home is found.
Volunteer
Our volunteers assist with handling and transporting of small dogs to and from vet appointments, adoption events, foster homes and to their furever homes when needs. Volunteers help with setup and breakdown at fundraising and adoption events.

You must be able to pick up your pet, we must be able to meet our adopters. You must be able to bring your pet for a meet and greet.
If for some reason the adoption does not not work out, you must be able to return the furbaby back to us.
You are not required to have a fenced back yard unless dog requires one.

How can I Adopt a Tiny Dog?
When you are ready to adopt a new friend, we will ask you to complete our friendly screening process, which ensures a successful and safe adoption.
Complete an Adoption Application
We will have a brief conversation with you to find out about your daily schedule, determine your preferences and needs, and talk about your previous experience with pets.
We will check two personal references who know how you are with animals.
If applicable, we will call your veterinarian to ensure that previous pets have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and well cared for.
For renters, we will check with your landlord to ensure that dogs are permitted.
Lastly, we will do a home check. We will arrange a visit with the dog and your family including all animals in your home, typically at your home. This is a great opportunity for you to get valuable input on how to integrate your new pet into your home. If we agree it is a mutually good fit, you will sign an adoption contract, pay the adoption fee and take the new dog into your home.
This process typically takes a few days and then you are ready to take your new friend home.
