The Alvin Animal Adoption Center is a division of the Alvin Police Department. We employ three full-time Animal Control Officers and three full-time kennel techs - each one of our employees is compassionate toward animals and love helping our pets find their forever home! We also have amazing volunteers and sponsors that make such a huge difference for our pets and our staff.

Additional adoption info
To ensure our animals go to a loving home, the Alvin Animal Adoption Center requires potential adopters to fill out an adoption application. We require proof from applicants that all other pets are current on their rabies vaccine, have city tags (if you live in the City of Alvin), and have permission from your landlord (if you rent or live in an apartment). The fee to adopt a pet can vary depending on whether or not the particular animal has a sponsor. The normal fees are $110 for a cat and $130 for a dog - this includes sterilization of your pet (spay or neuter), rabies vaccine, first round of basic vaccines, microchip, city tags (if you live in the City of Alvin), and the adoption fee.
