Pugh Zoo Rescue

Animal rescue in Jarrettsville, MD

We place animals in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process which includes thorough applications/questionnaires/conversations, taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing an animal into their homes and lives.

Animals in our care are spayed/neutered if applicable, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in caring foster homes while they await placement in their forever homes.

Virtually every dollar taken in goes directly to the care of the animals. Our rescue remains interested in and committed to the welfare of the animal beyond the adoption process.

Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations across the country to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless pets.

Additional adoption info

If you are interested in adoption please email us or visit our website to fill out an adoption application. Once received we will process the application within 24-72hrs (dependent on reaching references). If your application is denied you will receive an email from us stating so. If your application is approved, we will contact you to set up a time for you to meet the animal you are interested in with your entire household (including any current dogs). If all goes well at the meet and greet and you decide this is the dog to add to your family forever we will coordinate a time to do a home-visit. If the home is suitable we will finalize the adoption contract and you can begin your happily ever after with your new best friend!! <3
