The specific purposes of our organization are to rescue at risk animals out of kill shelters, provide them with veterinary care to the highest standards, match all pets with responsible, loving forever homes and provide a lifetime safety net for them. In addition, we help reduce the unwanted pet population by providing low cost sterilization opportunities and to educate the community about responsible pet ownership and the problems associated with pet overpopulation.

Additional adoption info
All interested adopters should contact info.caresga@gmail.com for an adoption application. Please be aware that we do require a vet reference for all adoptions. We also do not adopt "outside only" animals. Once your application is approved, we will set up a time convenience for both you and the foster parent who is homing the animal. Our adoption fees are $95 for cats and $125 for kittens. Adoption fees for puppies are $350, adults dogs are $250 and senior dogs (7 + years) are $150. This includes each animal being current on age appropriate vaccinations including DHPPL, bordetella and rabies, de-wormed for any internal parasites (round worms, hook worms, tape worms and whipworms), tested heart-worm negative (if positive, they are treated), tested negative for tick borne diseases, spayed/neutered, implanted with a mini micro-chip and have been examined by a veterinarian to certify that they are healthy. All animals are also on a monthly regime of flea and heartworm medication. Lifetime registration for the micro-chip as well as 30 days of free pet insurance is also included in each adoption fee. In addition, each adopter will go home with a fitted collar, tags, a bag of dog food the pet has been on, Forti-Flora, and an adoption kit filled with valuable information and coupons as well as other various treats or toys as promotions become available. All puppy adoptions include a puppy training book, the Puppy Primer by Patricia McConnell, to help ensure a smooth transition for your new family member.
We ask that you consider an additional donation on top of this pet's adoption fee. This money will go directly into our Adoption Fund to be used exclusively for rescuing and caring for other pets in need. Many pets we take in have very high vet bills to get them healthy and adoptable for the public - much higher than their adoption fees. We receive no government funding and rely solely on donations from our community and caring adopters to continue our rescue efforts!
