The Loveabulls Project is located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Through years of advocating for the "pitbulls" in the public, open intake shelter in East Baton Rouge Parish, the team came to a realization of a distinct and desperate need for help in the neighborhoods and communities where the dogs were coming from. The Loveabulls Project seeks to help dog owners, especially pitbull owners, become more informed about the dogs they own and how to make them part of their family for years to come.
To work towards making Baton Rouge a No-Kill city, The Loveabulls Project will work with dog owners in neighborhoods around the town to provide safe and healthy environments for their dogs, allowing them to remain with their families. By providing support to owners, including but not limited to access to spay/neuter, veterinary care, improved dog housing, & in-home behavior training, The Loveabulls Project hopes to help reduce the number of dogs, especially pitbulls, entering the East Baton Rouge Parish animal shelter.
Additionally, through our own "Loveabulls" Grandpa Hooch, Clementine, Mackie, Wes & Theo, The Loveabulls Project seeks to help dispel myths surrounding pitbulls through community events, educational events with children, and other outreach opportunities where we have the opportunity to show off how fantastic pitbulls really are!
