Dogma Animal Rescue is dedicated to saving homeless and abandoned dogs from overcrowded animal control facilities throughout the State of California. We especially focus on pregnant dogs that are in danger of abuse, neglect, or euthanasia. Dogma Animal Rescue places dogs into temporary foster homes where they are socialized, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and treated for any medical or behavioral conditions limiting their adoptability. We actively search for permanent homes for foster dogs by producing and hosting mobile adoption events and other special events that provide exposure to potential adopters.
In practicality, we are just a handful of dedicated animal-loving volunteers who rescue animals from a variety of sources - from county shelters, persons finding litters on their property or sadly abandoned on streets and near businesses. Often we stay up nights bottle feeding puppies, nursing sick or injured animals, or making trips to the emergency vet.
We have no physical address for our organization - we all foster animals in our homes. We are NOT a shelter – we typically can't help people who need to find homes for their animals. Our purpose is to literally save lives by helping animals on the brink of death - animals scheduled for euthanasia due to overcrowding, or abandoned or orphaned animals.

Additional adoption info
Dogma Animal Rescue will review each adoption application and will interview each applicant, by phone, email, or in person. If the prospective adopter is a likely fit for a particular dog or puppy, we will arrange for a meeting with the animal. Usually this will take place during our regularly scheduled adoption event. Our goal is to place each dog with the adopter who is the best fit. At times, we have more than one qualified applicant interested in adopting a particular dog. To determine the best placement, we consider a number of factors. If, after meeting the dog or puppy, the prospective adopter wants to proceed, our foster coordinator and the foster parents will consult to determine next steps.
In order to prevent unnecessary delays, we highly encourage interested adopters to complete and submit an application before the scheduled adoption event. All family members must attend the meeting to determine how the animal interacts with each individual. Dogma Animal Rescue reserves the right to conduct a home inspection before approving any adoption.
Adopted animals come with spay/neuter certificates, proof of micro-chipping, vaccination record, rabies certificate (over four months), and often shelter information. Our goal is to provide you with us much information and background about your new pet as possible.
