Happy Chance's Animal Friends was started in August of 2014. We are a non profit organization that was started due to a strong need in our area to promote, assist, and advocate for the dogs in our local shelters. We also work in in the community with other animal advocacy groups to help animals in need and assist owners and their pets. We truly believe that "happy lives can be found in second chances".

Happy Chance's Animal Friends has a strong desire to help the animals in Alamance County and the surrounding area. It is our goal to better the lives of its animal population through promotion, education, outreach, rescue, and rehabilitation. We work closely with our local shelter and pet owners in the community. We also take medical cases into our rescue where they receive the extra medical care and rehabilitation that they need in order to be adopted into a forever home.
Additional adoption info
We require an adoption application where we ask for a vet reference (If the potential adopter is currently a pet owner.), two additional references, and we require a home visit. We also ask that renters or homeowners living where there are HOA requirements, check first before considering adoption; especially if it is a bully breed. We have an adoption contract that is signed at the time of adoption.
Our fees are as follows:
Puppies-$200
Dogs between the ages of 1 and 5 years-$150
Dogs over 5 years-$100
