Rescue FAQs

Our Mission is to improve the conditions for Pit Bull type dogs in Northern Indiana through education, public awareness and by providing resources for Pit Bulls in need.

We are now functioning as a rescue and are excited to be able to offer wonderful pit bulls in need of forever homes. We are still a very small group and are in need of fosters and donors to continue helping pit bulls in need. Please keep in mind that we are unable to help every pit bull in need, but we do strive to help as many as we can.

Additional adoption info

All of our dogs are up to date on vaccines, spayed or neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, dewormed, current on heartworm and flea prevention, and come with a free post adoption exam at Aboite Animal Clinic.

Adoption Fees:
Puppies - Under 6 months (26 weeks) old: $300.00
Juveniles - 6 months to 1 year old: $250.00
Adults - 1 year to 7 years old: $150.00
Seniors - 7-10 years old: $100.00
Super Seniors - over 10 years: $75.00

You can find our application online at https://www.fwpbc.org

If you are interested in adoption, you will need to fill out an adoption application to begin the process. We will also do a home check and all members of the family, including other dogs, are required to meet the pet before adoption to ensure a great match.

Adopters are then required to sign an adoption contract. Adopters are required to keep their new pet up to date on vaccines and heartworm prevention, and see a veterinarian at least once yearly.
