Just Doodles and Friends

Dog rescue in West Warwick, RI

Our website can be found at: www.justdoodlesandfriends.org
We are a small Rhode Island foster based rescue. That means that all our dogs are local and can be visited after a completed application is received and you are accepted into the adoption process.
We mainly rescue "small and cute fuzzies" as well as labradoodles and goldendoodles and all poodle mixes.
We organized to be able to save dogs lives and help fellow rescues doing the same.
We are all volunteers with full time jobs and ask for your patience. We are unable to respond to all applications, but we do respond quickly when we think we have a match. Our first concern is the dogs' needs, so although you may want a certain dog, please trust our system. We might even call and suggest an alternative you may have missed.

Rescue FAQs

We are a Rhode Island foster based non profit rescue. Our dogs are in foster homes and we expect all family members and their pets to meet our dogs to ensure a forever home. After adoptions we like to stay in touch and add you to our family. It has taken a village of folks to bring your dog to a safe forever home and all those along the way love to hear updates and see photos.
We can only save dogs if folks like you volunteer to foster , so please email us ask about joining. We pay all expenses you add the love and food. (although we occassionally do help with food if needed). Most fosters last one to four weeks.

We are all volunteers with full time jobs and ask for your patience. We are unable to respond to all applications, but we do respond quickly when we think we have a match.

Our dogs are housed in loving Foster homes until adopted. Applications are taken, references are checked, and when possible we do a home visit. Adopters pay an Adoption Donation which covers our vetting costs for our rescues. All adopters must sign a contract which is previewed before the meet and greet. We require a fully physical fenced yard but will consider the needs and temperament of the dog on a case by case basis. All dogs are spayed or neutered and up to date on shots before adoption unless very young or sick, then there will be a deposit and Spay/Neuter Contract involving a refundable deposit. Our application can be found at: http://www.emailmeform.com/builder/form/z6lHg73iSha9kO04 or go to www.justdoodlesandfriends.org and click on the pawprint.
