We officially open to the public in December 2012. We were called about 3 pregnant mommas that resulted in 26 babies being born in our home. With those babies we gained 7 handicap rats that have a type of scoliosis of the spine that will cause them to live their sweet little lives out in our care!
We started our rat ownership in 2010. It seems once a person knows you have one rat you are the official person to call when they have a rat to surrender. We have had a lot of rats come in and out of our home over the years. Numerous female rats that came in with tumors that required surgeries to remove. We have tons of boys who came in needing to be neutered because of the anger being intact has caused.
This year we have adopted out 32 small animals which is pretty good for a small home based rescue. We plan on adopting out many more. Putting rats into happy homes is the best thing for those who cannot leave will live their life out with us. We have a few lifers here and we love every single one of them.
This rescue doesn’t have any adoptable pets right now – check out adoptable pets nearby or start a custom pet search below.
