Lots of Love Cat Rescue was founded on the belief that no animal should have to go hungry, be homeless or live in fear or pain.
Lots of Love Cat Rescue is a group of volunteer animal lovers whose mission is to rescue, provide sanctuary, re-home abandoned, stray and neglected cats. Our animals are examined by a veterinarian, vaccinated, spayed or neutered, to ensure the numbers of unwanted cats be kept to a minimum and receive any and all medical treatment before they are placed in carefully screened homes.
We are dedicated to finding permanent and loving families for the homeless cats and are dedicated to providing the best service possible to the animals in our care and the families who adopt from us. We take pride in adopting healthy animals and go to great lengths to pair each pet with the perfect family.
We do not receive any funding from government agencies or national animal welfare agencies. We are fortunate simply to have a dedicated team of volunteers, board members, and supporters.

Lots of Love Cat Rescue serves primarily Essex County Massachusetts but has also partnered with other rescue groups to aid cats and kittens in need elsewhere in Massachusetts. State regulations prohibit us from traveling to or accepting cats or kittens from outside of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Since our founding in 2009 we have rescued, medically treated and rehomed over 400 cats and kittens.
Additional adoption info
Our rescue consists of a number of foster homes dedicated to housing and socially adapting cats and kittens to transition into happy healthy forever homes. As such potential adopters are encouraged to complete an application that can be located at lolcr.org. Once we receive and process the application we will contact the foster home in which the kitty that interests you is located. An appointment time for you to meet your new family member will then be arranged that is convenient for both of you. As you application will be pre-approved you can take your new love home that day! We require an adoption fee to aid in our veterinary expenses and these range from $100 - $200 per cat or kitten. ALL of our cats and kittens are fully spayed/neutered, have received and exam and all required shots. Additionally they will be micro-chipped, all tests for Feline Leukemia and FIV and completed and a worming treatment is given. Please contact us with additional questions
