Rescue FAQs

We largely rescue animals from Southwest Missouri, and we mainly adopt to Missouri residents. We will consider all situations however, we recently had a dog adopted to Boston, MA!

Additional adoption info

Our adoption fees are as follows: $150 for dogs/puppies and $75 for senior/special needs dogs.

Rescue One will have potential adopters fill out an adoption application, and if the application is approved, set up a time to meet the pet and for the foster home to do a home check. The dog can then be taken on a week long adoption trial. At the end of the trial, the adoption can be finalized by notifying the dog's foster, and your adoption fee will be deposited and the dog's vet records released to you.

The only 'blanket' requirement Rescue One has in place is that no animal is to be an outdoor-only pet. No exceptions.
