Dixie County Humane society is a volunteer group whose mission is to rehab and re-home neglected, abused and unwanted animals. We also provide a safe alternative to shelters for owners that are faced with the decision to find a new home for their animal.
Dixie County Humane Society is a no-kill shelter that was founded in 2006 by Pamela Swanson. Since its very inception, we have been fully committed to our core belief - every life counts.
We take those who others will not. We are committed to saving the sick, the injured, the abused, and the neglected ... those who would surely be put to death if we were not there for them.
We survive solely on adoption fees and the generosity of those who donate to our organization. All tax deductible donations are used entirely for the benefit of our animals. We do not receive funding from any government, any national or local organizations, any other charitable groups, or United Way.

Adoption fees vary depending on the animal. Rest assured that your money will help other animals find their furever families.
