PAWS Humane Society was founded by dedicated animal rescue volunteers in order to be able to provide a loving environment and all of the proper veterinary care for the highly adoptable animals in local shelters that otherwise would not have received the opportunity to continue their lives. We feel that education and providing information about resources available to pet owners will help prevent the overpopulation that the shelters of Bell County and surrounding areas experience. We are a non-profit group who is completely volunteer and works off donations provided by the public. We are not government funded. We have no physical shelter location and all of our animals are placed in fosters until their time for permanent adoption comes.
Create an alert and get notified with newly adoptable pets that meet your criteria.

We are located in the Bell & McLennan County areas, all of our animals are placed into foster homes while they await their forever homes. We have NO physical shelter location. We serve all of Central Texas and do perform out of area/out of state adoptions as long as the adopter sets up and follows through on transport for the animals!
Additional adoption info
If you are interested in any of our animals please complete the adoption application on our website. Once we have received the application we will contact you to set up a time to meet the animal you are interested in or contact you for additional information. We are a completely volunteer based organization so response times vary and may be a few days before we are able to respond. Not every application for every animal is found suitable for that specific animal however we do our best to match you with a compatible animal.
