The City of Mobile Animal Services mission is to balance the health, safety, and welfare needs of the people and animals in our City. Through our mission we will educate the public about responsible companion animal ownership, aggressively investigate animal cruelty cases, provide compassion and humane care for unwanted, stray, abused and abandoned animals in our City, administer dog licenses, give adoptable animals a second chance at a forever home, and humanely euthanize animals when necessary and appropriate.

Use our Adoption Application form to apply to adopt an animal at the City of Mobile Animal Services. Applicants must be 19 years old to adopt an animal.
Important Note: We receive many applications daily, especially for popular breeds. We process those on a first come, first served basis. The status of an adoptable pet may change quickly. If your desired animal is not available, we may suggest another similar pet or help you find a pet to adopt that meets your requirements based on your application. Thank you!
