For more than 40 years, the HSDC has worked to reduce the pet overpopulation problem and alleviate animal suffering. We have educated the public about the needs of animals and promoted laws that benefit animals. Over the years, we have prevented thousands of unwanted puppies and kittens from being born through our spay/neuter programs (over 15,000 surgeries), thereby working to reduce the serious problem of overpopulation. The Humane Society of Davidson County is a non-profit, no-kill volunteer organization dedicated to the welfare of animals.
