3 Girls Animal Rescue

Animal rescue in Shady Point, OK

We are 3 women who, with the help of supportive husbands and caring fosters, try our very best to make sure no innocent animal has to suffer the horrible fate of a gas chamber. We pull the animals from the pound, have them vetted, spayed/neutered and find fosters or adopters for them. 3 Girls started January 1, 2013 and has saved over 400 animals. We rescue because without us, precious babies will die. We rescue because these animals have so much love to give. We rescue because when we look into the eyes of the dogs and cats in those pens at the pound, we see souls. We see fear, where there should be joy, and we HAVE to help them. We do not currently have a facility. We are always in need of more fosters and donations for vet bills and food. Without fosters, we cannot pull the animals. Without donations, we cannot pay for their spay/neuter and vet care.

Rescue FAQs

3 Girls Animal Rescue pulls dogs and cats from the high-kill pound in Poteau, Oklahoma and Wister, Oklahoma, both in Leflore County. The animals are only held 5 days before being euthanized. The pound does not adopt out pets, so we are these babies' only hope.

Additional adoption info

A signed adoption contract is required for all animals. The adoption fee for dogs is $125 and cats $50. All our animals are spayed/neutered and vetted. We do not currently have a facility. Our animals are in foster homes until adoption. Our rescue is run strictly by volunteers and on donations. Please be patient with us in returning emails and phone calls. Our days are spent pulling animals from the pound, taking them to the vet, picking up food, etc, setting up pens for fosters, meeting adopters, cleaning pens, and all the other details that are necessary in saving lives. We will get back to you as soon as we can.
