We are a non-Brick and Mortar rescue, meaning we use foster families to take care of and house our dogs arriving in Rhode Island mostly from high kill shelters in the southern states. The foster families work with the dogs to acclimate them to a family home and teach basic obedience skills to their foster. Vet care is provided for any issues that may arise.
We believe in the importance of adopting out a health dog. All issues with the dog that are known to the rescue will be shared with the adopting family prior to the final adoption. Temperament testing is done to the best of our abilities. Because we are a small rescue group, we are able to bring the dogs to the home visits and see how they react to the new home and the family members including any other family pets they would be living with.
We are a small rescue and are able to select dogs from shelters based upon the type of dog a family is looking for. If we get request for a specific mix we will do our best to find a dog that meets your families needs. We can not guarantee we will find a dog to meet your needs but we will do our best to find one.

We are a Rhode Island Licensed Rescue and Category A Transport. We rescue dogs primarily from high kill shelters in the south but also assist Rhode Island residents in re-homing their dog if the need arises . We currently only adopt to Rhode Island residents but have applied for a license in Massachusetts and are awaiting the decision. We have applied for nonprofit Federal 501 (c)(3) and are awaiting the decision on this status as well. All dogs coming into our rescue are fully vetted including vaccinations, spay and neuter. Dogs who are not spayed or neutered prior to adoption will be provided a certificate to get the spay or neuter done when the dog is old enough.
