Independent Animal Rescue is an organization of volunteers, partners and professionals dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and permanent care of animals in distress.
Our mission is to successfully place them into compassionate, permanent homes to receive a lifetime of responsible care, companionship, protection and love. We take this dedication seriously.
We adopt out homeless dogs & cats of all breeds received from various sources, primarily shelters, surrendered animals & strays. We completely vet them, to include all appropriate tests, treatments & vaccines; all are spay/neutered & microchipped. We place them only in responsible, loving, forever homes.
If you would be interested in volunteering or fostering for us please email Leonard.Spiegel@verizon.net

Additional adoption info
We can assist you to select the right companion animal and answer questions or solve problems concerning adoption. Our adoption process includes an application form, interview, vet reference check, landlord approval where applicable, possibly a home visit, and binding legal adoption contract.
Independent Animal Rescue incurs significant expenses to rescue, transport, house, feed, and provide medical care, vaccinations, and medications for a significant number of animals. Some require very costly extensive and intensive care or emergency treatments. A cost-based adoption fee is required at the time of adoption to help defray those expenses and enable us to continue our efforts for other animals in need. Adoption fees vary for specific animals depending on various circumstances.
Our animals are placed only with adults to be kept as companion animals. They must be accepted as family members, receiving proper nourishment, medical care, attention, exercise and companionship. Continuous outdoor or solitary indoor confinement is not acceptable.
