Pits Perfect All Breed Rescue started as a pit bull advocacy community group. We wanted to exclusively deal with educating our community on false stereotypes associated with pits and to fight to eradicate Breed Specific Legislation (BSL)...As we began our journey to become a non-profit rescue, however, we then felt that EVERY dog needs a second chance and someone to fight for them, regardless of their breed. This is why we became an “all-breed” rescue.
At Pits Perfect All Breed Rescue, Inc. we advocate for and rescue, rehab, and rehome homeless, neglected, and/or abused dogs. Our intent is not only to rescue but to educate adopters and our community on bully breed and all breeds awareness, best handling and ownership practices and the laws governing ownership of all dog breeds in general, with a special focus on bully breed in particular. We accomplish this through our rescue efforts, various training programs, community involvement, fundraising projects and mainstream marketing. Each Pits Perfect member brings their experiences, resources and ideas to the cause.
We started our rescue because we feel there is a tremendous need in educating our community about county shelters practices, spaying/neutering benefits, handling practices and etc. We feel our volunteers, adopters, and our community at large will benefit from our assistance and training. This may ultimately, reduce the number of pets being relinquished to animal shelters and euthanized yearly while also reducing the number of bite-related-incidents/deaths.

Additional adoption info
Potential adopters fill out an online application, which we will then screen (checking vet records, home ownership, landlord approval and paid pet fee).
Once the screening process is completed, a mandatory home check will be scheduled to determine final approval. If the adopters have a dog of their own (or multiple dogs), a mandatory meet and greet with all dogs involved will be scheduled to determine compatibility. Every one living in that household will need to meet the dog.
Once approved, they will sign a contract agreeing to our terms. If they no longer can take care of the animal, they will bring them back to us no matter what the circumstances. The microchip will always remain in our name. No dog will be adopted prior to having been fixed, micro-chipped, and vaccinated. No dog will be tested on for experimental purposes under any circumstances. No dog will be disposed of, or euthanized without first contacting and gaining permission from PPABR.
Adoption fees vary depending on age and "adoptibility" of the dog from $50 for senior dogs to $200 for younger, healthy pups
