Bugsy's Buddies was started in 2012 by Johanna Garcia. Johanna has always been an extreme animal lover since a young child. Always bringing home new pets, snakes, birds, squirrels, stray dogs and cats, even saving jackrabbits and field mice from harms way. Growing up, Johanna spent many hours on her horse looking for animals needing her care. As an adult, she continued her quest to save homeless animals. Many friends and family members would come to Johanna with a stray cat/dog they found. The homeless animal remained in Johanna's care until a loving home was found. In 2012 Johanna took her foster and rescue efforts to social media. And from there, Bugsy's Buddies was created. It started off as a nickname, and then people started requested t-shirts and merch!!! BB is now in the process of becoming an official 501c3, non- profit organization!
