Good Shepherd Animal Refuge primarily serves as a long term pet foster care home for those who are in long term medical treatment, hospice or other need. Most of the foster pets are returned to their original owner, however due to the owners circumstance they may not be able to care for their pet and will choose to have their dog or cat rehomed. That is when we have pets up for adoption. The guardians have trusted us to ensure that their fur-babies will have the best possible forever placement and that's what we want as well. By adopting a pet from us you are not only helping the animal but a family that once loved this pet and by no fault of their own had to surrender it. Please consider this when adopting from us.
