Front Range Equine Rescue

Animal rescue in Ocala, FL

Front Range Equine Rescue began in 1997 and was incorporated as a Colorado non-profit on 8/1/97. Front Range Equine Rescue began as an all volunteer organization with Board members providing the initial foster homes. A small self-care facility soon housed several of the incoming rescue horses as well. Over the years, Front Range has worked hard to increase its capacity and eventually owned two facilities in Colorado. In 2015, FRER re-organized to expand its rescue services to the East Coast while maintaining work in CO and the West. FRER has retired horses and its main office in Ocala, FL; rescue and education efforts are mainly offered in Colorado in partnership with another organization in northern CO.
